MSU School of Human Resources and Labor Relations’ (HRLR) Professional Development unit will continue its tradition of providing premier professional education and certification programs under the new leadership of Associate Director of Outreach and Director of Professional Development, Mevan Jayasinghe.

After a cumulative 15 years as School of HRLR Associate Director and Director of Professional Development, Dr. Tina Riley plans to step away from her role as Director of Professional Development to focus on teaching and research.

During her time as Director, Dr. Riley transformed the Professional Development unit into an educational partner and leader, offering a broad variety of programs in multiple formats, to meet the needs of HR and labor relations professionals across the globe. Those who have attended one of Dr. Riley’s training sessions, will be happy to learn that Tina will continue as an expert facilitator of HRLR Professional Development courses, in addition to her academic teaching and research.

From Dr. Riley: “It has been my pleasure to serve as a part of the School's leadership team in these ways for the past 15 years. My successor, Mevan Jayasinghe, is an outstanding colleague and scholar. He brings great insight, enthusiasm, and innovation to the role. I look forward to the growth that is sure to take place with his leadership.”
