Career Placement

Thanks again for your continued partnership. We have been very impressed by our MSU interns this summer and look forward to continuing to attract top talent from MSU.

HR Director, Firestone/Bridgestone

The Career Development and Placement Office is led by Director Megan Jursch and is dedicated to providing the support and services that help connect you with top recruiting companies for your internship and full-time career.

MSU’s Master of Human Resources and Labor Relations program’s career placement and development is one of the top reasons we are known as one of the best programs in the nation for HR and labor relations.

The HRLR Difference:

personal peer career coach and student mentor

We offer customized support and extensive one-on-one services to ensure each of our Master’s students is prepared and confident when over 40 companies come to meet, interview, and recruit them for summer internships and full-time careers. Every student receives a personal peer career coach and student mentor to ensure their resume is perfect and they are ready to put their best foot forward when interviewing.

95 – 100% Placement

Our program consistently places 95 – 100% of our students in summer internships averaging $32/hour, and in full-time careers at or before graduation, with current average salaries of $83,000.

Extensive alumni network

We help connect students with our extensive alumni network, an SHRLR lifelong networked community, to ensure they have every advantage in their internship and early career. MHRLR students have access to HRLR alumni who are currently leaders in the field of Human Resources and Labor Relations.
