Mevan Jayasinghe Awarded The Academy of Management - HR Division's 2026 Dave P. Lepak Service Award

Michigan State University School of Human Resources and Labor Relations (HRLR) Associate Professor Mevan Jayasinghe has received the David P. Lepak Service Award from the Human Resources Division of the Academy of Management.

The award recognizes one or more members of the Academy of Management’s HR Division for exceptional service to the division. Recipients are nominated and selected by the HR Division Executive Committee.

Jayasinghe was recognized for his longstanding contributions to the HR Division, where he has served as Sponsorship Manager since 2019. In that role, he has managed more than $250,000 in institutional sponsorships that help support the division’s year-round programs and activities.

His service reflects a sustained commitment to strengthening the HR Division and supporting its programs, members and broader mission within the human resource management field.

The David P. Lepak Service Award adds to Jayasinghe's record of recognition from the Academy of Management HR Division. He previously received the division's International HRM Scholarly Research Award for his research contributions.

Jayasinghe's service to the Academy of Management reflects HRLR's commitment to leadership and engagement within the profession while contributing to the advancement of human resource management research, education and practice.

The Academy of Management presented the award during the HR Division's awards program at the 2026 Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Philadelphia.
