Training for Union Leaders & Activists
Insights Into Management Decision Making
As a union leader, do you ever wonder why management does certain things? While unions focus on what is best for workers, management operates under a different set of criteria – including organizational performance. In this session, you will hear from our management-side expert, Dr. Tina Riley, about how management makes decisions.
Taking this perspective can help you structure the union's arguments to have the best chance of winning grievances and contract demands that benefit union members. You'll also have time to ask questions.
If you'd like, send your questions in advance to Michelle Kaminski (mkaminsk@msu.edu)
