MASTER'S DEGREE IN HR & LABOR RELATIONS
CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR FALL 2026

Application submission dates:

  • Priority deadline for students who want to be the first reviewed and given an admissions decision: January 5, 2026
  • Recommended second deadline: Before April 1, 2026

These dates are not admissions cutoffs - the MHRLR program has rolling admissions until the cohort is full.


Please note: The GRE and GMAT requirement is currently optional. If you choose not to take the GRE or GMAT, you will need submit an Academic Statement instead. Learn more


If you are applying to MSU as a future undergraduate student, please visit MSU Admissions at https://admissions.msu.edu/. You will be prompted to send your transcripts through the MSU Admissions application packet.

  • Providing your resume is required to show the Committee any student leadership or work experience.

  • Your resume should include any student leadership positions or positions within student organizations you have held.

  • You may skip the "Employment and Activities" pages within the application if all pertinent information is included in your professionally formatted resume. You can submit your resume as a PDF in the Application Portal (You will receive an email from MSU Admissions with the link and login information to the Application Portal after you submit the application and pay the graduate application fee) under "File Uploads".

  • You may also submit writing samples.
