Bobby Ireland

Bobby Ireland currently serves as Chief Human Resources Officer at Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope (OBE), a private equity-backed leader in the building industry. With approximately $2 billion in revenue and over 80 locations across the U.S. and Canada, OBE is North America's foremost vertically integrated manufacturer, fabricator, and distributor of architectural glass, glazing systems, and related hardware. In his role, Bobby leads the company’s HR organization and plays a critical role in overseeing internal controls, financial reporting, liquidity and cash flow management, capital budgeting, and enterprise risk management.

Prior to OBE, Bobby was the Chief Human Resources Officer at Boyd Corporation, a global tech-industrial company specializing in thermal management and engineered materials. Under his leadership, Boyd—generating more than $1.4 billion in revenue and operating across 50+ global sites with 8,000+ employees—executed multiple $100M+ acquisitions. As Integration Leader, he delivered $20M in synergies while maintaining operational continuity. Bobby also architected a three-year HR roadmap focused on standardization and speed and introduced a streamlined travel and expense platform that saved the company roughly $500K annually.

Earlier in his career, Bobby held several leadership roles at Honeywell. As Vice President of Human Resources for U.S. Aerospace, he led HR strategies for 40+ sites and over 15,000 employees. From 2009 to 2013, he served as VP of HR for Honeywell Aerospace’s Asia Pacific Region and the Air Transport & Regional business, completing a multi-year expat assignment in Shanghai, China. His global HR team spanned the U.S., EMEA, and Asia Pacific.

From 2007 to 2009, Bobby was Human Resources Director for the Engines Product Center, where he managed HR operations across U.S. sites in South Carolina, Alabama, and Arizona, as well as supporting global locations in China, Mexico, and the Czech Republic. During this time, he led complex site transitions from Arizona to Mexico and Eastern Europe.

Bobby holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Kalamazoo College and a master’s in human resources and labor relations from Michigan State University.

Personal Note

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Bobby remains a proud and passionate supporter of his hometown—no matter where life takes him. Despite living away for over two decades, Detroit remains close to his heart, especially with family roots that include Ireland’s Pub, a cherished neighborhood bar in Metro Detroit. A devoted sports fan, he cheers for the Lions, Tigers, Pistons, Red Wings, and, of course, the Michigan State Spartans.

Bobby's interests span the outdoors, international travel, and global cuisine—passions that flourished during his time living and working across Asia. He now resides in Phoenix, Arizona—his fourth state in six years—with his wife, Monica, and their beloved five-year-old mini dachshund, Morty.
