Peter Berg, professor in the School of Human Resources and Labor Relations, has published a new book titled Organizations and Workforce Aging: Stakeholders, Interests, and Human Capital Management. The book is coauthored with Matthew M. Piszczek, associate professor of management in the Mike Ilitch School of Business at Wayne State University.

Published in 2025 as part of the Future of Work and Employment series, the book explores how organizations are responding to the demographic shift toward an aging workforce. Drawing on interviews with senior leaders, supervisors, human resource managers and worker representatives, the authors examine the factors that influence employer decision making and the policies organizations adopt to address workforce aging.

The book offers timely insights for scholars and practitioners interested in employment relations, workforce development and the future of work.
