BIOSKETCH

Ahleah Miles is an Assistant Professor in the School of Human Resources and Labor Relations (HRLR) at Michigan State University and was a College of Social Science Dean's Research Associate in the School of Human Resources and Labor Relations in 2024. She received her PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from The George Washington University in 2024.

Dr. Miles studies how people navigate and develop their careers over time. Using quantitative methods, she takes an equity-focused approach to the future of work by examining how individuals interpret and respond to career feedback, how technology and structural conditions shape the psychological experience of work, and when and how social identity becomes consequential for careers. Dr. Miles' work has been published in journals including Personnel Psychology, Technology, Mind, and Behavior, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and PLOS ONE, and she has received a grant from the American Psychological Foundation.
