Meet the SWOT Team

The SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) Team works with Thuy-Tram Butler, the School's Director of Career Development and Placement, to ensure a successful recruiting season for all of our students through coaching and career development activities. Each student is assigned to a SWOT Team member and works closely with that SWOT Team member throughout the recruiting season to refine their resume and prepare for their interviews, in addition to anything else regarding recruiting that students may need.

From: Pinckney, MI
Internship: Dell – Round Rock, TX
Background: I was part of the first graduating class of the Human Capital & Society program through the School of Human Resources & Labor Relations here at MSU in May 2018 and started the Master's program the following Fall semester. While in undergrad, I had several different HR internships in industrial and consumer goods settings and really solidified my passion for HR, particularly training and development. In my free time, I love spending time outdoors, trying new restaurants in Lansing, and, of course, watching the Office. Looking forward to meeting all of the new students and helping them make this school and this program their home!

Being called a Spartan was natural to me (my hometown is Sparta), but bleeding green is a new experience and I’m loving it! I enjoy traveling and exploring the less beaten path, especially when I get to take my Aussies along for the ride. I also like to snowmobile to make winter more bearable. I can’t wait to meet the new students and help them develop and prepare for recruiting and their awesome HR experiences!
