The Evolution and Future of Work

Future of Work

We know from our own experience and research that the way we work is rapidly shifting. Various forms of technology such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, algorithmic management systems, and co-biotics are changing job tasks and reorienting the way work is organized. In addition to technology, other forces are impacting work. The health shock of the Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated the options for remote work and altered our workspaces. Changing workforce demographics are altering the way organizations think about how to structure jobs and make schedules more flexible.

The Evolution and Future of Work Research Initiative brings together researchers across the university to leverage our expertise to create synergies across researchers. Our goal is to create a community of MSU scholars from different disciplines examining the evolution and future of work and expand the impact of MSU research in this area.

This space identifies researchers affiliated with the initiative, research seminars, papers, and media mentions.
