Our Theme: Driving Business Value from HR Analytics

This year's theme is Driving Business Value from HR Analytics and our intended focus is on the tangible experiences and best practice principles in using data to make HR decisions of our outstanding speakers. The goal of the conference is to help current and future HR leaders see the benefit of transitioning from basic reporting and metrics to advanced analytics processes to move their businesses forward.

Our Purpose

The 2017 MSU SHRM Conference is being held to further the mission of alumni from the Michigan State University School of Human Resource and Labor Relations to provide professional development opportunities for students and professionals in the regional area. The Conference is planned and executed entirely by active students from the MSU School of Human Resources & Labor Relations. MSU SHRM is a non-profit organization and any proceeds from the conference go towards student development and future events.

The 2016 MSU SHRM Conference was held with great success, and we are expecting to have an ever greater turnout in 2017, with increased participation from more universities and business professionals.

CHARITY RAFFLE

Ele's Place, Lansing

A raffle will be held throughout the day to raise funds for Ele's Place, an organization in Lansing, Michigan dedicated to creating awareness of and support for grieving children, teens, and their families.

Raffle tickets can be purchased the day of the conference. $1 for 1 ticket or $5 for an arm's length. Raffle winners will be drawn the day of the conference. All proceeds from the raffle will go to benefit Ele's Place.

What is Ele's Place?

http://www.elesplace.org/

Ele’s Place is a nonprofit, community based organization dedicated to creating awareness of and support for grieving children and their families. Through peer support group programs, Ele’s Place helps children to cope with the death of a parent, sibling or other loved one.

Before coming to Ele’s Place, many grieving children feel alone and keep their feelings inside, not wanting to burden their parents or other family members. Often, friends don’t seem to understand if they haven’t had a similar experience. But each week at Ele’s Place, hundreds of grieving children find a warm and welcoming place to meet new friends who really understand how they feel, and begin to heal after the death of a loved one.
