Meet the SWOT Team

Meet the SWOT Team

The SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) Team works with Thuy-Tram Butler, the School's Director of Career Development and Placement, to ensure a successful recruiting season for all of our students through coaching and career development activities. Each student is assigned to a SWOT Team member and works closely with that SWOT Team member throughout the recruiting season to refine their resume and prepare for their interviews, in addition to anything else regarding recruiting that students may need.

Matt Cambridge

Matt Cambridge

From: Ann Arbor, MI
Internship: Boeing, St. Louis, MO
Background: I graduated from Calvin College with degrees in Psychology and Religion in 2012. After that, I spent two years working as an admissions counselor and two years teaching English in Budapest, Hungary. I really enjoy writing, reading, watching Netflix, and playing tennis and basketball (I can touch net!). I'm looking forward to assisting new students with the recruitment process this year. Welcome!
Melissa Rodriguez

Melissa Rodriguez

From: Chihuahua, Chihuahua, MX and Canton, MI
Internship: Ford Motor Company, Flat Rock, MI
Background: I received my BA from MSU's Broad College of Business in Human Resource Management. I was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, but I moved to Michigan when I was 11 years old (so I'm kind of a Michigander now?). Some of my hobbies include travel, cooking new foods (ok, mostly eating), reading, watching movies (the Oscars are a holiday for me!), looking up cute pictures of dogs on the internet, and dancing to Beyonce's beautiful voice. I can't wait to meet the new HRLR class and help them prepare for their dream internship/full time job!
Brianna Krus

Brianna Krus (Bri)

From: West Bloomfield, MI
Internship: Ford Motor Company, Dearborn, MI
Background: Prior to joining the HRLR program I graduated from Michigan State University where I majored in Human Resource Management and minored in Economics. In my free time you can find me eating pizza, shopping, spending time with friends, or traveling. Over the past two years I have traveled to many places within the US, as well as Brazil and South Korea. I am so excited to have the opportunity to assist incoming students through the recruitment process!
Mike Hua

Mike Hua

From: Holt, MI
Internship: Bridgestone, Laguna Beach, CA
Background: I am a proud Double Spartan, receiving my BS in Psychology with a business emphasis spring of 2016. I was born in Lansing, Michigan, just right down the street from the best college in the nation. Being a Michigander has been nice, but I'm ready for the west coast lifestyle. My hobbies include playing basketball and tennis, traveling, eating out (way too much), going to concerts, and cruising around in my 1976 Suzuki (that I'm constantly putting work into). I'm super excited to meet the new HRLR class and I'm ready to help them get connected with their internship/full time role! Go Green!
Ziye Zhu

Ziye Zhu

From: Nanjing, Jiangsu, China
Internship: Cummins, Nashville, TN
Background: I got my BA in Human Resource Management in Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, China. I joined a study abroad program in my senior year and spent one year studying HR in Minnesota. The endless winter there drove me to move to ... well, Michigan. (At least it doesn't get worse.) I am a foodie, a bad dancer, a fine singer, and a cat lover. I can't wait to meet and help new HRLR students get into their dream companies/positions! :)
Ashley Khoury

Ashley Khoury

From: Shelby Township, MI
Internship: Boeing, Seattle, WA
Background: I grew up in Shelby Township, Michigan and received my bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and Political Science from Grand Valley State University #LakerForALifetime! I was also able to spend several years down in sunny Orlando, Florida as a manager for Walt Disney World. Some of my hobbies include dancing, watching movies, reading, singing Broadway show tunes in the car, and all magical things Disney! I am very excited to meet everyone and help our new students recruit for their dream job! Welcome to HRLR!
Gianni Ferrero

Gianni Ferrero

From: Idstein, Germany
Internship: Dell, Round Rock, TX
Background: After living in Germany for 19 years, I was able to come to the US in 2013. I got a B.B.A. in HR Management and Intl. Business from Grand Valley State University and I also spent my undergraduate time as a student athlete (to tell the truth, swimming was the main reason I came to the US in the first place)! While I still love working out and being active, now that I am retired I have more time for all the other awesome things in life; e.g. meet you! I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you and help you succeed in your future endeavors. :)
