The Career Development and Placement Office is led by Director Thuy-Tram Butler and is dedicated to providing the support and services required to guarantee your placement among top recruiting companies. Comprised of two dedicated teams, the Career Development and Placement Team and the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) Team, both work to ensure your preparation, growth, and success as a student within the School of Human Resources and Labor Relations in pursuit of internship and employment opportunities. Thuy Tram Butler, Director
Thuy-Tram Butler (nee Nguyen) is the Director of the Career Development and Placement Office. Thuy-Tram has a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and a Master's Degree in Human Resources and Labor Relations from Michigan State University. Prior to building the Career Development and Placement Office, she had a career in sales and previously worked in Human Resources for Eaton Corporation.
Thuy-Tram started as an Academic Advisor in 2006 and was promoted to manage the Career Development and Placement Office in 2010. As Director, she now manages the employer recruitment system, the student career development training programs, the student recruitment committee, and the student SWOT team. She believes that given the proper resources, guidance and coaching, every student can be successful in their employment search.
