Giving Opportunities

Annual Giving: MSU SHRLR encourages alumni, students, parents and friends to recall and renew their Michigan State University ties by making annual gifts. These gifts strengthen MSU SHRLR's ability to serve students, faculty and staff through fellowships, teaching innovations, and updating technology. When you make a gift to MSU SHRLR, you are not only contributing to MSU SHRLR's ability to positively impact the lives of students but also assisting in the preservation of high quality education for future Spartans.

Giving Priorities

Directors Discretionary Funds for the Support of Faculty and Graduate Students - Gifts are used by the director in areas that will best provide for the needs of the school. These needs include supporting graduate students for travel and participation in conferences, advancements in technology as well as the physical space for students and to provide much needed financial support for projects for which there is no other source of funds.

SHRLR Fellows- ($20,000 gift commitment) Making a gift at this level will help support a student Fellowship which would cover the student's tuition, insurance costs as well as provide money in exchange for research and/or teaching duties. Making a gift at this level will allow a naming opportunity for your company and raise your company's profile within the School as the recipient will be known as "Company X Fellow."

SHRLR Assistantship- ($10,000 gift commitment) will help support a student Assistantship, a paid appointment that requires part-time research duties. Also included is the cost of 18 credits annually and health insurance for the student. Joining at this level qualifies you for membership at the SHRLR Assistantship Level. Making a gift at this level will allow a naming opportunity for your company and raise your company's profile within the School as the recipient will be known as the "Company X Assistantship recipient."

SHRLR Scholars- ($7,500 gift commitment) Making a gift at this level will help off-set the annual tuition costs for our masters' level students and make you a member of the SHRLR Scholars donor society. Making a gift at this level will allow a naming opportunity for your company and raise your company's profile within the School as the recipient will be known as the "Company X Scholar."
